This workshop will feature an in-depth examination of The Open Group
Architecture Framework (TOGAF) including versions 7, 8, and a look at
the upcoming release of TOGAF Version 9.
During the past four years
TOGAF has been adopted by an increasing number of organization across
the globe. At present there over 6,000
certified TOGAF 8 Practitioners. There are other frameworks
that can be used to guide Enterprise Architecture activities, but TOGAF
provides a comprehensive approach
that is based on the accumulated best practices of Enterprise
Architects from a broad range of organizations. It is an open standard
that is freely available for use within organizations.

First online course student earns TOGAF Certification
Metaplexity Associates has submitted the name of Jack Lopez
Jr., CEO of NACC Technologies of North Potomac,
Maryland for TOGAF 8
Practitioner Certification. Mr. Lopez completed the
course using Metaplexity's WebEx
Training Center. He worked with Bill Estrem to go through the
course materials normally delivered in a live classroom course using
the interactive WebEx Training Center
environment.
Together, they were able to design a flexible schedule to meet the
course requirements without
losing valuable client time.
Metaplexity Associates certifies first class of TOGAF Practitioners
Five students completed the first Metaplexity Associates offering of
its new "Enterprise Architecture
Using TOGAF 8: A
Certification Course for Practitioners" course.

In addition to the required course content, the class worked on a
project to apply TOGAF concepts to an
Enterprise Architecture program under development at Prime Therapeutics.
Bill Estrem Receives Outstanding Contributions Award from The Open
Group
Bill
received an Outstanding Contribution Award from The Open Group at
the Architecture Practioner Conference in Chicago. The award
recognized Bill for his on-going contribtions to the development of
TOGAF.

Launches New Enterprise Architecture Curriculum
Metaplexity
launched its new TOGAF based Enterprise Architecture curriculum at The
Open Group's Architecture Practioner Conference in Chicago July 21-23,
2008. The curriculum
will provide an articulated set of offerings from
Architecture Project Participant to TOGAF Certified Practitioner to
Master Enterprise Architect.
