On January 30, The Open Group announced its new revision to the Archimate © Enterprise Modeling Language specification. Archimate © 2.0 offers several major improvements and new features. It also has far stronger compatibility with TOGAF© 9.
Metaplexity Associates personnel have been involved with the development of the Archimate© 2.0 Certification program. Bill Estrem and TJ Parro participated in the beta test program and completed the requirements for Archimate© 2.0 Certification.
Metaplexity Associates will include learning units and exercises about Archimate© 2.0 in all of its TOGAF© 9 courses. Metaplexity Associates© will also evaluate developing Accredited Archimate© 2.0 modeling courses in the near future. |

Metaplexity has completed revising its accredited courses to support TOGAF © 9.1. The TOGAF © 9.1 revision is based on a Technical Corrigendum at The Open Group. A Technical Corrigendum is intended to make basic changes to the specification without adding significant new content or changes.
The TOGAF© 9.1 revision improves TOGAF by streamlining some portions of the Architecture Development Method, removing certain sections, and correcting numerous wording and typographical changes recommended by TOGAF users and members of the Architecture Forum.
The courses have been submitted for approval by The Open Group Certification Authority. All class offerings are now using the new materials. |

Bill Estrem and TJ Parro both participated in the Archimate 2 Certification program. Both took the Beta Certification Examination and contributed feedback to the exam. It is expected that Bill and TJ will be names as Archimate 2 Certified when the program is announced. Archimate 2 is a modeling language focused on Enterprise Architecture. It is currently being developed by the Archimate forum at The Open Group. |

colleagues from Cargill, Best Buy, and Target, is coordinating an event from 8:30 to 11:30 Monday 21st for the Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA), and
for the Twin Cities Architectonians. Charles Betz, Research Director at
Enterprise Management Associates, and former VP of Enterprise
Architecture at Wells Fargo, will be here to provide the keynote talk,
and there will be two other brief presentations, plus a panel

Bill Estrem attended the Member Meeting and Architecture Practitioner conference in Rome Italy in April.
He worked with Marc Walker of British Telecom to deliver a presentation called "Taming the TOGAF 9 Content Metamodel."
Bill also attended the Architecture forum meetings and participated in several committees around the development of TOGAF.

(October 20, 2009) At the Hong Kong meeting of The Open Group, it was announced that Metaplexity Associates LLC has become the first company to earn full Accredited TOGAF™ 9 Training Course (ATTC) status for its courses. The accreditation covers the following courses: - Enterprise Architecture Using TOGAF™ 9: Foundation (TOGAF 9 Level 1 Certification)
- Enterprise Architecture Using TOGAF™ 9: Certified (TOGAF 9 Level 2 Certification)
- Enterprise Architecture Using TOGAF™ 9: Upgrade (TOGAF 8 to TOGAF 9 upgrade)
The accreditation includes both instructor-led as well as distance learning delivery methods of our courses.
