Bill Estrem

Throughout his career, Bill has been actively engaged in education and consulting in the areas of Enterprise Information Management and Strategic Information Systems planning.

He currently teaches International Operations Management at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.  He previously served as an Associate Professor in the College of Business at the University of St. Thomas where he held the Honeywell Endowed Chair in Global Technology Management.  He was the Director of the Information Technology Management concentration in the MBA program.

Bill has several years of industrial experience.  He was an industry analyst with D. H. Brown Associates and an Enterprise Information Architect in 3M's Information Technology division.

He has been actively engaged in professional organizations and industry groups that are committed to promoting open systems computing and industry standards.  He served on the Board of Governors for The Open Group and he was the chairman of the The Open Group Architecture Forum in 2005.

He is also a community leader in the Product and Process, Design and Manufacturing community of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
