Course Descriptions
This one day course
is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the
skills and knowledge needed to successfully participate in Enterprise
Architecture projects.
The course is intended for business analysts, program and project
managers, IT managers, and domain specialists who will participate in
enterprise architecture projects.
The course will focus on concepts based on The Open Group Architecture
Framework (TOGAF) as well as other related frameworks.
This course is
intended for Architects and Project Managers who will be directly
involved with
leading enterprise architecture programs or projects.
The course is certified by The Open Group. It conforms to the
requirements of the TOGAF
8.1.1 Product Standard and Conformance Statement Questionnaire.
Participants who successfully complete the requirements of the course
will be certified as TOGAF8 Certified Practitioners.
This course is a one
day survey of TOGAF 8.1.1 that is intended to prepare
the candidate who plans to take the TOGAF 8.1.1 Certification
Examination at a Thomson Pro Metric testing facility.
The course will cover all aspects of TOGAF and will focus on the topics
that that are covered by the TOGAF 8 Conformance Statement
Questionnaire that is used as the basis for certification.
All students will receive a TOGAF 8.1.1 Examination Study Guide and
other materials that will help them prepare for the examination.
Attending this course does not guarantee that the candidate will pass
the examination. However, in the event that the candidate does
not succeed, Metaplexity will provide additional coaching and guidance
to prepare the candidate to attempt to retake the examination.
This course is a
practicum that is designed to prepare Architecture
leaders to build successful
architecture programs and practices for their organization.
It is designed as experiential learning with activities that are based
on real world examples. Whenever possible, the learning activity
will be based on real problems in the participant's organization.
This course does not lead to TOGAF Certification. It is
recommended that TOGAF Certification before attending the course.
The course will review The Open Group IT Architect Certification
program. Interested candidates can evalauate their readiness and
prepare to stand for ITAC Certification as part of this course.

business leaders on the business value of Enterprise Architecture.
These courses are offered on demand and are tailored to the particular
needs of the organization.
Traditional Program
and Project Management courses often treat the
subject in a generic approach.
This course will cover the fundamentals of Program and Project
management from the IT perspective.
It focuses on the people, process, and technology aspects of Program
and Project Management that are encountered in the Information
Technology environment.
The course has a required three day core and an optional one day tools
and techniques module.
